If you want to escape, breathe in some pine-scented air and follow peaceful trails-this is the place!!! If you Kayak-this is the spot! Everything is meticulously manicured. Beautiful ferns, waterlilies, and wildflowers. Pack your favorite lunch and make sure to hike up to see the wild lilies this spring before they are gone! A new favorite spot of mine!

BEST SWIMMING 🏆 Lacamas Lake has it all. Swimming, bridge jumping, rope swing, picnic area, bathrooms, floating, paddle boarding, sun bathing and fishing. Lots of level, grassy areas in the shade and water temps are good for summer swimming, not too cold. There are plenty of sunny area and shaded areas to relax in. Parking can get hectic on busy days, especially with discourteous drivers creating their own parking spots which can trap cars in the parking area because they can’t get through, don’t be that person. If your going to hike back to the more secluded (and beautiful) swimming holes, wear good shoes, not flip flops. We were happy that everyone at the lake was courteous and respectful. There was no one blasting music or smoking or being gross. It was perfect. It’s a great place for well behaved dogs and humans to cool down on a beautiful summer day.

Beautiful lake. Calming. Did find some interesting bones laying hidden under some branches looked more smooth and pourus... Had the local authority come out there. They kind of searched there heads a little. Saying it wasn't huma... Like bro no offense you sent a Mexican and a IT officer I've been hunting for years and have cut and gutted my kills. Idk. But it is a beautiful lake hands down.

The paved paths near the parking lot and picnic area might be wheelchair compatible. The other trails are not. The lake is pretty. We followed the trail up to the dam, where the path goes along the top of the dam. It's narrow, but has guard rails. The area is attractive and woodsy. We were here in early November.

Always a good hiking experience! I have been hiking here a total of 3 times now and have spent hours just enjoying nature! I have also found this place to be a great place to photograph and film, since I have done both photography shoots and cinematography/videography. Beautiful when it's hot and beautiful when it's cold. My only negative about this park would be the small parking lot, but by the 2 visit I found out there's a lot bigger one about a block down from the main one. It's for kayaking but it's still usable for park regulars or hikers/bikers. There is also a multiple biking trails if that's your fancy, I have to yet try out the biking trails.

This has been my favorite place this spring thus far. It is nestled literally on the lake just across from a fantastic golf course. Upon arrival there is free parking, boat launch picnic area, scenic path/trails with mile markers. Furthermore it is (ON LEASH Animal friendly). Great tranquil boating, fishing, kayaking coupled with astonishing natural beauty. If you need a place to decompress & or just some time to relax. Not many other close locations will provide the amenities and free pricing for a great day of memories better than Lackamas Lake.

First time hiking the entire trail. Almost 7 miles to the end and back. The farthest I had gone in my previous times was to the 2 mile marker and back so 4 miles in total. The lake view this time around wasnt so great though. Looked like a good portion of it was dried out and portions were covered in green stuff, algae maybe? The trail itself is very easy. Very beginner friendly if you just take a casual pace. Alot of runners here and I saw maybe one or two people take there bikes out.
